
The diploma course runs over 2 years, with 5 weekends of contact time and 3 evening seminars each year.

Evening Seminars:
We will schedule 3 online seminars as a space to develop course themes, the seminars will be hosted on Zoom, an online video conferencing platform:
The seminars run from 6.30 – 8.30 pm

This course is suitable for applicants who are either students on a Counselling & Psychotherapy Diploma course and have completed 100 hours of counselling practice or qualified to Diploma level in counselling or psychotherapy and have completed 100 hours of counselling practice. Applicants ideally will have some experience of establishing appropriate relationships with Children and Young People in a professional context (paid or voluntary). Where this isn’t the case, this can be discussed with the Course Facilitator.
Access to the second year is dependent on successful completion of year 1 of the course. Applicants to the second year will already have a minimum of 20 practice hours with Children & Young People and then complete a further 30 hours during the course.
All students will be interviewed by the course leader before being offered a place.
Placements & partnerships
Temenos has been offering counsellor training since 1994 and is well known amongst counselling services. We have partnerships with a number of organisations offering counselling to CYP which may be able to offer a placement. If you would like to know more about these, please let us know.
